Golf Holiday High-Volume Email Management

Problem

Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday has an email newsletter database of over 350,000 addresses. The organization is comprised of over 150 members; all who want to send special golf vacation offers out to the full list. Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday needed to find a creative way to deliver a high volume of member specials and maintain the size and integrity of the database.

Result

Fuel Interactive created an equitable system to distribute daily specials from individual association members and maintain the size of one of the largest golf databases in the world. The program, known as eSavers®, delivers millions of messages per year and represents the best return on investment for the association and its members.

The program delivers millions of messages per year to hundreds of thousands of users. It represents the best return on investment for the association and its members.

Insight

In order to fulfill the client's needs, we knew an entirely new database was needed along with a comprehensive management solution to handle a high volume of member email requests.

Strategy

We were able to devise a strategy to opt-in over 150,000 members of the newsletter database into a special list of golfers who requested to receive a daily message, known as eSavers®. we implemented an efficient management system where individual association members are were able to select dates for distribution, supply content and photos and have a special offer distributed to over 150,000 avid traveling golfers. To date, eSavers® are distributed 3.8 times per week showcasing individual member specials to a combined total of approximately 27 million email addresses annually. This is all done while preserving the Golf Holiday brand and honoring the original opt-in agreement with the customer.

Example

An eSaver® sent for one member generated an over 100% increase in site traffic, requests for 24 golf brochures, 19 'contact us' requests, and 11 phone calls from during the day of delivery.

A second eSaver resulted in a request for a package of 72 golfers worth over $40,000.
